Because we all know that blending is better than squeezing...

The Orange Blender is based on a classic "plug-in" compressor from the mid 70's.
The original circuit is still one of the most popular compression circuits even to this day, known for its signature "squash", that isn't quite as intrusive as later circuits, but still offering plenty of sustain and bloom.

The secret sauce of the Orange Blender is (you guessed it), a blend control, that allows you to dial in as much or as little compression that you want!

X Control: Compression Boost Level
Y Control: Effect Blend

Internal Controls:
The Orange Blender features on onboard "comp" control, allowing you to fine tune the compression level
